Our Projects

Solidarity is shown through actions, not words.

That’s why we’ve designed our projects to be implemented immediately, be sustainable, improve living conditions from childhood, and generate a positive impact throughout the community.

The progress we’ve made, while still limited compared to what we’d like, has been achieved through commitment and the certainty that nothing would have been possible without the support of local communities.

Although our main projects have been carried out in Rwanda, a country with which we have a special bond of brotherhood, we’ve funded many other initiatives for development in various African countries, as well as in Central America and Asia.

Without hiding our joy at the achievements made with everyone’s help, during these years, we list the most outstanding projects that Nueva Fraternidad has developed.

✔ Rabbit breeding and the C.E.A.R. project was one of our first projects. It was very well received and achieved extraordinary results.

✔ The MARAIS project consisted of granting half a hectare to a dozen young people so that they could build their house and grow their own crops, providing them with all the necessary means for this purpose.

✔ The construction of two schools and the renovation of four others that were in precarious condition.

✔ The construction, in cooperation with the Vita et Pax missionaries, of a children’s dining hall in Kigali for children orphaned after the genocide that occurred in that country in 1994. We have the collaboration of the Alicante City Council and the Provincial Council.

✔The expansion of a farm at the Social Medical Center in one of Kigali’s most deprived neighborhoods was subsidized by the Torrevieja City Council with €30,050.

✔ The restoration of three multipurpose rooms in Galenke.

✔ Restoration and finishing work on a multi-purpose building in Kiziguro.

✔ The construction of a residence for young women entering university was subsidized by the Torrevieja City Council with €90,000.

✔ The construction of a school in Rukara for 2,500 students thanks to the invaluable donation of Ms. Isabel Tella.

✔ The sponsorship program in the jurisdictions of Kiziguro and Rukara is undoubtedly one of our most cherished projects.

✔ The funding of three classrooms in Karamoja. They were inaugurated in December 1995 by the Papal Nuncio.

✔ Funding in Karamoja for a school for young women facing social exclusion.

✔ The construction in Karamoja of the necessary means for the supply of water to a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants.

✔ The construction of three modules for the education of young women, subsidized by the C.A.M.

The construction of a Foyer, a home, for the education and development of women.

The financing of a complete plant for the comprehensive education of young people in the Café neighborhood.

✔ The construction of the necessary means for the water supply of an approximate population of 30,000 inhabitants.

✔ Loans of financial aid to Medicos Mundi for the care of those affected by the terrible tsunami of 2003.
